This month on the blog we are talking all the high maintenance habits that create a low maintenance life. Whether you are a busy mom, booked beauty professional, or an in charge of everything entrepreneur, time is something we all need a little more of. Last weekend we covered the magic of microneedling which led to a quicker makeup routine and skipping some things all together. This week we are talking lash extensions and laser hair removal.
Lash Extensions
I started getting lash extensions a year ago after one of my beauties came in with gorgeous lashes. She recommended The Lash Lounge in Jackson. I love how they make my eyes look bigger and I can wear so little makeup because it's like I'm wearing permanent mascara. If you have never heard of lash extensions or don't understand how they work - I'm here to break it down for you.
Lash extensions are semi-permanent fibers that are individually applied to your natural lashes using a safe, medical grade adhesive. They come in various lengths, curls, and thickness, allowing for a fully customized look - whether you want something natural and wispy or bold and dramatic. I personally have hooded eyes and have found that the wispy lashes are my favorite. They arent as dramatic, but they are more flattering on me and make me look more awake than the heavier dramatic lashes. Unlike strip lashes or mascara, lash extensions give you effortlessly full, fluttery lashes 24/7 without any daily application.
End Result: I love my lashes. For $150 a month I have perfect lashes that never have to be reapplied. No need for mascara. My lashes stay dark and full, so thats one less thing on my to do list. When traveling, it's so nice to wake up, do nothing but feel put together and confident.
So why choose lash extensions? For many like me, it's all about convenience and confidence. They cut down on your morning routine, save you from smudged mascara, and enhance your eyes in a way that makes you feel polished even without makeup.

Laser Hair Removal
This is one of those services that I was like where has this been my whole life. Like why did I never do this before? Imagine not needing to own a razor ever again. I'm all about quality and spending money in a way that serves me and makes my life easier. I started seeing Laine at Blackledge Face Center a couple of years ago and I feel like laser hair removal is worth every. single. penny. It ranges in price from $50 to $400 depending on the area you are getting done. I've had almost my whole body done and it makes packing and traveling a breeze. It's also cut down on my daily beauty routine. If you aren't familiar with laser hair removal - let me break it down for you:
Laser hair removal is a long-term solution to unwanted hair, using concentrated light to target and damage hair follicles so they can't grow back. It works best on dark hair and can be used on virtually any part of the body. After just a couple of appointments, many people experience smoother skin with minimal regrowth, drastically reducing the need for shaving, waxing, or plucking.
I found there was a dramatic difference after just a few sessions. If you get really dark in the summer like me, it's best to plan your sessions in the Winter to allow you to get the best results. There is no downtime, it doesn't hurt, and each session you leave more hairless that the last.
One of the biggest perks of laser hair removal is obvious when you go to pack your bags for a trip. No more packing razors, shaving cream, or scheduling last minute wax appointments before vacation. Whether your lounging pool side or heading out on an impromptu getaway, you can feel confident and low maintenance knowing you're already smooth and beach ready. It's one less thing to worry about so you can focus on the moments that matter.
Thanks for joining me on this blog post for all things lasering and lashes. Wishing you smooth hair, smooth legs, + happy travels!
