Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookies

Y'all Ive been making these cookies forever. I actually took this photo at our old Mississippi home. You know when you google a bunch of different recipes and then you just kind of wing it? (Okay, maybe thats just me lol) Thats how I ended up with these chocolate chip cookies. They are my absolute favorite. The key is to bake them until they are just lightly golden on the edges and not a minute more.

Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

  • ( 1 ) cup salted butter

  • ( 1 ) cup white sugar

  • ( 1 ) cup light brown sugar

  • ( 2 ) tsp pure vanilla extract

  • ( 2 ) large eggs

  • ( 3 ) cups all purpose flour (sifted)

  • ( 1 ) tsp baking soda

  • ( 1/2 ) tsp baking powder

  • ( 2 ) cups of chocolate chips

Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are slightly brown.

Note: I "sift" my flour by using a hand held whisk and lightly "fluffing it" before I measure it out. The chocolate chips can be less or more to your likely as well as the vanilla extract. Blooper moment: I accidentally added three eggs once instead of two and ended up with mini cakes... haha you dont want to do that! These are the beauties below. My favorite chocolate chip cookies. Loaded down with chocolate chips and the closest thing I can get to raw cookie dough that is actually cooked. Enjoy! :)
